
Linda J. Shapiro (Senior Associate), born Boston, Massachusetts, December 19, 1952. Admitted to the Bar, 1977, Virginia; 1977,
U.S. Court of Customs and Patent Appeals; 1978, District of Columbia; 1981, U.S. Supreme Court; 1982, U.S. Court of Appeals for
the Federal Circuit. Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, 1977. Education: Tufts University (B.S.,
with honors, 1974); George Washington University (J.D., 1977).
Ms. Shapiro has over twenty years of experience in the practice of intellectual property law, including patent ant trademark
preparation, prosecution and copyright registration; experience includes two and a half years clerking at the United States
Court of Customs and Patent Appeals (now the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit), primarily for Chief Judge Howard T.
Markey. Ms. Shapiro has also been involved in appeals at the United States Patent and Trademark Office and the United States
Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and in infringement litigation in the U.S. district courts and at the United States
International Trade Commission.
